Hudson Valley Painting & House Washing

Interior and exterior painting plus house washing — clean surfaces, sharp lines, fresh color — in Red Hook and all around it.

Paint is the fastest way to change a house — and it only lasts as long as the surface underneath it. That is why house washing is part of how we paint: humid river summers in the Hudson Valley leave mildew, pollen and gray film on siding, and paint laid over that film peels years early. We wash the house first, prep it honestly — scraping, sanding, priming bare wood — and then paint, inside or out. Indoors, our work runs from single bedrooms to vaulted great rooms painted from scaffolding, with crisp lines where wall meets ceiling. And if the house needs a wash and no paint at all, we do that too. Free quote in English or Spanish before anything starts.

What's included

Exterior work in this valley means respecting older houses: Saugerties Victorians carrying decades of paint layers, Red Hook farmhouses with original wood trim, newer builds where the siding needs a careful wash and one tired door repainted. We match the job to the house — full repaints, a single weathered side, trim and doors, porches brought back to life. Inside, floors and furniture get covered, holes get filled and sanded before any color goes up, and the lines around trim, windows and ceilings get cut straight, because straight lines are what the eye reads as quality. House washing also stands on its own — siding, porches and walkways washed bright before a graduation, a sale or just spring. Tell us what is bothering you and we will look at it.

Painting & House Washing by city

The Hudson Valley is not one market — a Rhinebeck farmhouse, a Kingston uptown rental and a Poughkeepsie family home are three different jobs, with three different owners to answer to.

Common questions

Do you wash houses without painting them?
Yes — house washing is its own service. Siding, porches and walkways come back bright, and in this humid river valley most houses benefit from a wash every year or two.
Why wash before painting?
Paint bonds to the surface it touches. If that surface is mildew, pollen and road film, the paint grips the dirt instead of the siding and fails early. Washing first is cheaper than repainting twice.
Can you paint interiors in the winter?
Yes — interior painting is year-round work. Winter is actually a good time to book bedrooms, kitchens and stairwells, before the exterior season fills the calendar.
